How to Use the Avatar Editor
Here, we’ll show you how to easily use the Avatar Editor.
Opening the Avatar Editor
The Avatar Editor can be accessed from within neem Browser. (If you’re on PC, enter an area to launch neem Browser.)
Open the Account Menu and click on Avatar. (For details, click here.)
Once you click on Avatar, the Avatar Editor will open and you can start customizing your avatar.
How to Switch Between Sections
You can switch what section is being edited using the menu at the top left and the buttons at the bottom left. Use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom left to go through each step until you’re finished customizing your avatar.
About Body
- Base > Body
Select a Body.
Depending on the Body selected, there are certain items that cannot be worn.
Note: Avatar Item names and descriptions are currently displayed in Japanese only.

Body names include the characters F and M. You will only be able to wear items that have the same character written in their names. For example, an F Body can wear a White Shirt F, but not a White Shirt M.
Note: When purchasing items from the shop, be careful not to purchase the wrong item.
How to Put On and Take Off Items
When you open the Clothes section, a list of items will appear on the left. Select an items you’d like to try on from the list. (Learn more about trying on unpurchased items here.)
When you select an item from the list, a menu will appear on the right. (Content will vary based on item type.)
- Undo
Revert to previous item. - Take Off
Removes the selected item.
Adjusting with Sliders
Some sections will display sliders rather than a list. Use these sliders to make fine adjustments.
- Avatar > Color
Use the sliders to adjust the skin tone and hair color. (Find skin tone recipes here.)
- Avatar > Figure
Use the slider to adjust the height of an avatar.
Trying on Unpurchased Items
When you open the Avatar Editor, unpurchased items will appear in the items list. You can select these items to try them on.
By checking Inventory Only, only items that you have in your inventory will be displayed.
Purchasing Unpurchased Items
You can add items you’ve tried on to a cart and purchase them, without needing to open the shop in the neem dashboard.
When you try on an unpurchased item, an Add to Cart button will appear. If you find items you like, click the button to add it to your cart! Once you’re done choosing, click on Open Cart to proceed to the shop. You’ll be able to purchase all the items you tried on at once.
Closing the Avatar Editor
To save your changes and exit, or to cancel editing, click on Close at the bottom right of the screen.
A confirmation dialog will appear. (It will also appear if you press Previous or Next when you’re on the first or last item.)
- Exit Without Saving
Reverts all changes and closes the editor. - Yes
Saves your changes and closes the editor. - No
Closes the dialog and resumes editing.
Caution When Purchasing Avatar Items
(As of 5/8/2025)
It is now possible to purchase multiple Avatar Items (such as clothing and hair styles). However, owning multiples of the same Avatar Item won’t affect avatar editing, so take caution not to purchase multiples of the same Avatar Items. We plan to address this in a future update, including adding measures to restrict multiple purchases.

Skin Tone Recipes
Skin tone is now set using sliders, however, getting used to them may take some time. So, below are a few recipes to create natural-looking skin tones.
